New Online Features Tak

Texas Mutual Insurance Company continuously upgrades its website to help customers save time. This spring, the company unveiled two online features that reduce cumbersome paperwork and help protect employers’ confidential policy information.

DWC-3 Employer’s Wage Statement reporting
The newest addition to Texas Mutual®online services allows employers to complete the DWC-3 Employer’s Wage Statement online. It also helps ensure that injured workers receive timely, accurate benefits.

The DWC-3 form provides wage information that Texas Mutual Insurance Company uses to calculate the injured worker’s benefits. If an employer knows that an injured employee is going to be off work or have reduced wages for eight days or more, the employer must file the form with Texas Mutual Insurance Company. Employers must also submit an updated DWC-3 within seven days of any information changing from the previous wage statement (such as discontinuing health benefits or other non-salary benefits initially continued after the date of injury).

The DWC-3 online system prompts the employer for the required data. Once the employer has completed the online form, the system calculates the wages and sends the information directly to the adjuster handling the claim. The system also emails the employer a PDF version of the completed DWC-3 form to provide the injured worker and other appropriate parties. To use the DWC-3 reporting tool, employers should:

  1. Log on to the loss run and claim detail tool. (Employers who are not registered to use Texas Mutual® online services should complete the online application.)
  2. Select the appropriate claim, and click on Complete Online DWC Form 3.

Policy-level access changes
Texas Mutual Insurance Company is committed to protecting employers’ confidential policy information on its website. Employers who are registered to use Texas Mutual® online services can now grant their employees full or limited access to:

  • dividend history
  • class code and payroll information
  • loss run and claim information
  • interim reporting

To grant or change online access levels, employers can call the information services center at (800) 859-5995 or send an email to information@texasmutual.com. The email should include the policy number, employee name, and the information the employee is permitted to access.
