Get reimbursed for your return-to-work efforts If you have two employees to 50 employees, you may be eligible for the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) return-to-work pilot program.
Under the program, the DWC reimburses qualifying employers for money they spend to bring injured employees back to work or keep them at work. Senate Bill 1814, passed by the Legislature in June, raised the maximum reimbursement from $2,500 to $5,000.

Improve your safety program Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) safety professionals are available to help you identify and correct workplace hazards through the Occupational Safety and Health Consultation (OSHCON) program. OSHCON is a free service for private Texas employers.
Employers who focus on preventing workplace accidents may see a 600 percent return on their investment, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
