Find network providers online
Texas Mutual has made it easy for you to locate network providers and specialists. Visit our network provider directory at www.texasmutual.com/hcn/provdir.shtm. If you need help, call (800) 381-8067.

Get approval for out-of-network care
You can refer a patient to an out-of-network specialist if there are no in-network specialists within 75 miles of the injured worker’s home, but you must have the network’s approval. Email your request to the Coventry network administration team at TX_Networkadmin@cvty.com.

TDI asks injured workers about your service
Every year, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) surveys injured workers about the network care you delivered. This feedback is reflected in the annual network report card, which is scheduled for release this fall. Here are some of the evaluation areas that TDI requests feedback on:

  • Agreement with treating doctor. Did the provider talk about the medical condition seriously, give a thorough exam, explain the medical condition, answer questions and discuss return-to-work?
  • Overall satisfaction with medical care. Did the provider deliver quality care for the work-related injury?
  • Access to care. Did the injured worker get an appointment as soon as he or she wanted? Was the injured worker taken to the exam room within 15 minutes of the appointment?
