Help your bills get approved
Texas Mutual reminds providers that as of April 1, 2009, all MRI and CT scans on Texas Star Network® claims require preauthorization. On December 1, 2009, the company began denying bills for scans that were not preauthorized.
Texas Mutual selected TechHealth to perform these diagnostic imaging services. When you call (888) 532-5246 or fax (800) 852-1805 for preauthorization on diagnostic imaging services, your request will be routed to TechHealth for preauthorization and appointment scheduling on compensable network claims.

Refer to network providers
Texas Star Network® providers are required to refer injured workers to fellow network physicians. A complete list of all available Texas Star Network® providers is available in the online provider directory at texasmutual.com/hcn/provdir.shtm.
