Health Care Referral Line

In response to feedback from agents and their clients, we are pleased to announce our new Texas Mutual^® health care provider referral line at (800) 381-8067. We are able to offer this toll-free service for our policyholders by partnering with Rockport Healthcare Group, a nationally recognized workers’ compensation preferred provider network administrator.

This new service will help your Texas Mutual^® clients find a nearby doctor to treat an injured worker. It also gives you another powerful selling point for Texas Mutual^® coverage.

When a Texas Mutual^® policyholder calls the line, a Rockport representative will locate a qualified doctor convenient for the injured worker. The service will help ensure that injured workers find a doctor who is nearby and accepting workers’ comp patients. Of course, all Texas Mutual^® network doctors are also on the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission’s approved doctor list.

The referral line can also help injured workers find ancillary health care providers, such as physical therapists or radiologists.

The referral line is one of our newest tools for convenient customer service. It is separate from, but similar to, the pharmacy assistance service we offer through ScripNet.

Remember that while employers may suggest a doctor to an injured worker, state law gives injured employees the final say in their choice of treating doctor, as long as the doctor is on the state’s approved doctor list.
