Workshops Provide Network Updates, CE Credit This spring, Texas Mutual Insurance Company launched its workers' compensation health care network option. Agents will play an important role in promoting the network to their clients. You and your agency staff can get the information you need about the network option by attending one of our free workers’ compensation workshops. The workshops also include 3.5 hours of continuing education units for agents and CSRs. Our staff will explain the benefits of participating in the network option. They will also tell you how to get an in-network quote or endorsement, and they will provide a detailed look at network eligibility requirements. “This network is big news for our policyholders,” said Terry Frakes, senior vice president of public affairs at Texas Mutual Insurance Company. “We designed this workshop to give agents the tools they need to answer their clients’ questions.” The network option is the most high-profile addition to this year’s workshops, but it’s not the only new item on the agenda. Our staff will review the most commonly requested endorsements and discuss E-Mod calculation and how it affects premium. “These workshops are an ever-evolving concept,” added Frakes. “The workers’ comp system will change in the coming years. We feel it is our responsibility to keep those changes at the forefront of our workshops.” Of course, we did not abandon the traditional workshop topics agents have come to count on. Workshop guests benefit from the traditional review of the five industry classification groups – a perennial favorite – and an explanation of how to treat various legal entities. We update our workshop schedule throughout the year. Check it regularly to register for a workshop near you. MUTUAL INTERESTS - SPRING 2006 Texas Mutual® is a registered service mark of |
