2005 Workshops Will Help Agents & CSRs

With so many recent changes in the Texas workers’ compensation system, and potentially many more to come, we have revised our award-winning workshops to help our customers stay up-to-date. At Texas Mutual Insurance Company, we want to help agents and CSRs understand today’s changing workers’ compensation system and how it affects their business.

For the fourth consecutive year, we are hosting free workers’ compensation workshops for licensed agents and customer service representatives (CSRs). The agent workshops evolved out of our original 2001 educational seminars, which focused on the employer side of the workers’ comp equation.

The 2005 agent workshops will focus on Texas Mutual® online services, proper employer classification, and ownership issues. We will also discuss what we’re telling your Texas Mutual® clients at our 2005 policyholder workshops.

Each workshop includes tips on how to get timely quotes and a chance to ask the experts how to help your clients get the most out of their Texas Mutual® coverage.

2005 workshop topics include:

  • The Texas Mutual® advantage: An overview of Texas Mutual® services for agents, including Internet Quoting, online policy endorsements, loss run reports, claim detail summaries, interim payroll reporting, and agency information management.
  • Classification procedures: A perennial favorite among agents, this detailed review of the five industry classification groups explains how to apply them to your clients’ businesses.
  • Legal entities: In-depth explanations of how entity ownership affects rates, and how to determine when to apply executive supervisor, independent contractor, or general exception codes.

Our 2005 Texas Mutual® workshops will visit 16 locations around the state. Agents and CSRs may click here to register online for a 2005 Texas Mutual® workshop.
