Free Tools Help New Producers Excel

The Yupik Eskimos of Alaska have a unique way of communicating over long stretches of rugged terrain. They carry on full-blown conversations by whistling, never speaking a word.

The language of workers’ compensation can be pretty complicated, too. If you are a new producer, Texas Mutual Insurance Company offers free tools that can help you excel.

Start by registering for a free workers’ compensation workshop. You’ll pick up 3.5 CE credits for attending. You will also learn how to get quicker quotes, properly classify your clients, save time with Texas Mutual® online services and make sense of experience modifiers.

The language of workers' compensation can be pretty complicated. At Texas Mutual, workers' compensation is all we do, and we do it better than anyone else. We are here to share our expertise with you.

“I’m very new to commercial insurance, and I work for a small agency. This was great, considering how little I knew,” wrote an agent who attended our Austin workshop.

That type of comment is not unusual on our workshop evaluations. The workshops have been so well-received by agents and CSRs that we are expanding the concept.

This fall, we hope to begin offering specialized workshops for young agents, so watch for more information soon.

If you can’t make it to a workshop, download a free copy of our Agent’s Guide to Workers’ Compensation.

The first half of the guide is educational, elaborating on the information we present at the workshops. It also explains the advantages of choosing a workers’ compensation policy over an occupational accident policy or other alternative coverage.

The second half of the guide highlights the services that have made Texas Mutual the leading choice for workers’ comp insurance. You will learn how your clients can potentially earn dividends by controlling their loss ratio. We will also show you how to score big with your clients by placing them in a Safety Group and our workers’ comp health care network.

Policyholders who join the network get a 12 percent annual premium discount. They also benefit from a team of health care providers who help their injured workers get back on the job.

Remember, however, that network participation comes with responsibilities for employers and employees.

While you’re there, be sure to visit the Agents section. It includes back issues of Mutual Interests; FactsLine, our agent update service; and our advertisements, brochures and other marketing materials.

If you register for a Texas Mutual® online username and password, you can get quick quotes, create loss runs, review claims and access your clients’ individual dividend history.

At Texas Mutual, workers’ compensation is all we do, and we do it better than anyone else. We are here to share our expertise with you. If you have questions, please call us at (800) 859-5995.
