New, Familiar Faces Assume Leadership Roles

Some of our leaders are new to Texas Mutual, and some are familiar faces assuming new roles. All are committed to ensuring our customers continue to receive the exceptional service they have come to expect from the state’s leading provider of workers’ compensation.

Ron Wright

Ron Wright, president
Wright came on board in 1997 as Texas Mutual’s chief operating officer. He replaced former president Russ Oliver, who retired in August.

“I inherited from Russ the leadership of a company that is financially strong and is run by a strong team of people,” said Wright. “I am privileged to have the opportunity to continue Russ’ legacy of success at Texas Mutual and to build on the foundation established under Russ’ leadership.”

Lisa Corless

Lisa Corless, chief operating officer
Since 1998, Corless has served in management positions in our regional and corporate offices. In 2005, the company appointed her senior vice president of claim and information services.

Last year, Corless assumed the additional duties of providing operations leadership to Texas Mutual’s underwriting and actuarial services division.

As COO, she will oversee the company’s claim, information technology, underwriting, actuarial and premium audit functions.

Cecily Gallagher

Cecily Gallagher, corporate actuary and chief risk officer
Agents remember Gallagher as senior vice president of underwriting and actuarial services. This fall, she assumed her new role as corporate actuary and chief risk officer.

Gallagher provides actuarial analysis of long-term and critical strategic issues for senior management and the board. She also oversees the pricing and reserving actuarial function, heads up risk quantification analysis, and assists with risk mitigation efforts.

Steve Math

Steve Math, senior vice president of underwriting
Math broke into the industry as an actuary. He comes to Texas Mutual from Argo Insurance Group, where he served as San Antonio-based senior vice president and chief actuary. Math points to the current soft market as one of the industry’s biggest challenges.

Math and his team will work closely with Gallagher’s group to ensure Texas Mutual sets prices and reserves responsibly so we will be here for you and your clients long into the future.

Mike Dileo

Mike Dileo, senior vice president of claims
Dileo has 15 years’ experience managing claim, underwriting, loss prevention and premium audit operations. He comes to Texas Mutual from the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation, where he most recently served as vice president of agency relations and underwriting operations. LWCC is Texas Mutual’s single-line, state-chartered counterpart in Louisiana.
