About Texas Mutual

Texicare - Health care subsidiary

For over 30 years, Texas businesses have trusted us to care for their workers. Now, we’re expanding our services and products to include innovative health care coverage for small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.

A new way to care for Texans

In 2021, the Texas Legislature passed a bill that empowered Texas Mutual to create a health coverage-focused subsidiary. In 2022, our board of directors approved the initial steps for its creation. Texicare’s mission is to provide innovative solutions that increase access to more affordable, easy-to-use, quality health care for Texas businesses and employees.

We believe that all companies deserve the opportunity to provide coverage that's right for them. We look forward to introducing our product offering to the market in 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
