Small businesses have been a very important segment of Texas Mutual’s policyholder base throughout the company’s history. In 2022, the Texas Mutual board of directors approved creating Texicare, a health coverage-focused subsidiary to help bridge the affordability gap for health benefit coverage among small businesses.
