At Texas Mutual, we know that supporting our communities is the right thing to do, and that we can achieve a lot when we work together. This spring, nearly 1,000 employees across our five offices raised $164,000 for the United Way in our largest annual fundraiser.

Employees made direct contributions to the United Way and during the month-long campaign became more familiar with the many programs their contributions will help support. A nationwide nonprofit, the United Way works by partnering with local agencies in all of the areas that it operates. This means that the United Way can identify local problems, amplify the efforts of people who are already working on them, and make sure that donors' dollars are spent close to home in their own communities.

Our community partnership with the United Way helps us live up to our commitment to support the education of the next generation on Texans. It's one of three focus areas we're dedicated to through our TXM for Texas community affairs program. Texas Mutual also invests millions of dollars into the wellness and safety of all Texans.

In addition to fundraising, Texas Mutual employees volunteer with United Way's partner agencies throughout the year. From Fort Worth's United Community Centers, to Houston's Star of Hope Mission and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock, our employees are active across the state.

The difference we're making through the United Way is just one way we're working to forge a stronger, safer Texas and gives our employees a chance to make an impact in the communities where they live and work.
