Texas Mutual honored as outstanding philanthropic corporation of the yearTexas Mutual employees with award

We’re proud to announce that Texas Mutual was recently honored with a 2025 Philanthropy Day Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Austin Chapter. During an awards ceremony on May 7, we were presented with the Outstanding Philanthropic Medium/Large Corporation of the Year award. This award is a testament to our dedicated employees and nonprofit partners who help us build stronger, safer and more resilient communities.

In addition to sponsoring the event, we were honored to be recognized among so many impressive organizations and individuals for their work in our community. As the leading provider of workers' compensation insurance in Texas, we believe that our strong position gives us the force to do good—for our employees, policyholders, partners and communities across the state. Since 2016, we’ve invested nearly $100 million in hundreds of organizations across Texas, helping create resilient, thriving communities.

Our corporate citizenship strategy

At Texas Mutual, we’re intentional about how we show up for Texas businesses, communities in need, and our industry. Our corporate citizenship strategy focuses on four key areas:

  • Supporting working Texans—today and tomorrow
  • Developing the insurance talent of the future
  • Leading with trust and credibility
  • Strengthening the Texas economy

Through various initiatives, including grant programs, sponsorships, volunteer events and partnerships with organizations across the state, we strive to build a stronger, safer Texas. Our reach spans the entire state, allowing us to support diverse communities and projects.

We’re grateful to the AFP Greater Austin Chapter for this recognition and are inspired to see the philanthropic spirit of all the other honorees making a difference.
