Texas Mutual welcomes Prateek Sangal as new COO

We’re happy to announce that Prateek Sangal has joined Texas Mutual’s leadership team as our new chief operating officer (COO), effective October 20. As COO, he’ll oversee all insurance operations, including policyholder services, underwriting and premium audit. That means he’ll be at the heart of our mission to serve Texas businesses better than ever.

Prateek steps into his new position with a wealth of experience and a knack for combining smart strategy with operational excellence. Prateek’s career started at Progressive in data and analytics and has included leadership positions at major insurance companies like Farmers and CNA. At NSM Insurance Group, he served as chief commercial lines officer and was responsible for underwriting, operations, technology, marketing and distribution across a wide range of insurance products.

Prateek is no stranger to building great teams and leading successful insurance programs. Most recently, he was senior vice president and head of digital for North America property and casualty at AmTrust Financial Services. Under his leadership, the workers’ compensation premium on the digital channel doubled and significant operational improvements were achieved.

With Prateek on board, we can continue growing in making businesses stronger and Texans safer—now and into the future.
