OSHA launches National Emphasis Program
on COVID-19
OSHA launched a National Emphasis Program concerning enforcement efforts for companies who have employees at greater risk of contracting COVID-19. The program also prioritizes employers who aren’t abiding by anti-retaliation policies.
Updates to OSHA's on-site inspection guidelines
OSHA recently updated its Interim Enforcement Response Plan for COVID-19 to prioritize on-site inspections or a combination of on-site and remote efforts when necessary. The agency will still conduct remote-only inspections when an on-site inspection is deemed unsafe.
Stand Up for Grain Safety Week kicks off March 29
OSHA, the National Grain and Feed Association and other safety organizations are hosting Stand Up for Grain Safety Week March 29-April 2. The annual event aims to promote hazards and best practices for grain handling and storage. Employers are encouraged to hold educational events for their staff and utilize event resource materials.

NSC is promoting safe driving habits during April with its campaign for Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The organization is offering free materials and urging drivers to pledge to drive distraction-free.
