OSHA releases injury data, plans heat rule hearing and more
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
OSHA has published the 2024 workplace injury and illness data collected through its annual reporting requirements. The dataset includes information from over 300,000 OSHA Form 300A reports and partial data from over 700,000 Forms 300 and 301 reports. This data, submitted via the Injury Tracking Application, covers establishments meeting specific industry and employment size criteria.
OSHA announced a virtual public hearing on its proposed rule to protect employees from hazardous heat exposure in indoor and outdoor workplaces. The hearing is scheduled for June 16, starting at 8:30 a.m. CDT. Interested speakers must register by May 2. This hearing is part of OSHA's rulemaking process to address heat-related injuries and illnesses in various work settings.

DWC opens registration for Texas Workers' Compensation Conference
The DWC has announced that registration is now open for Decoding Comp, the Texas Workers' Compensation Conference, scheduled for September 29-30 in San Marcos. Early bird registration is available until August 15.
