The evaluation process
As the trusted leader of benchmarking and best practices services for the insurance industry, Ward Group’s selection process is comprehensive. It analyzes insurers over a five-year period (2020-2024). Companies must meet stringent criteria, including:
- Maintaining a minimum of $50 million in both surplus and premiums annually
- Demonstrating profitability in at least four of the last five years
- Achieving compound annual premium growth between -10% and 40%
Additionally, Ward Group evaluates each company's performance and financial stability, ensuring they possess the potential for sustained growth while maintaining robust capital positions and strong underwriting results.
