Texas Mutual earns sixth consecutive family-friendly workplace designation

Texas Mutual employees with their children

At Texas Mutual, supporting our people isn't just a priority — it's a core part of who we are. We're happy to share that we've once again been designated as a Best Place for Working Parents by Early Matters Greater Austin, a community alliance created by United Way for Greater Austin and E3 Alliance. Earning this recognition for the sixth year is a testament to our ongoing commitment to building a workplace where employees can thrive both professionally and personally.

What the designation means

The Best Place for Working Parents designation is a rigorous evaluation of whether companies are putting family-friendly policies into practice. Organizations are assessed across 10 research-backed categories known to benefit working families and positively impact company performance:

  • Company-paid healthcare coverage
  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
  • Nursing benefits
  • "Best Place" designation
  • On-site childcare
  • Childcare assistance
  • Backup childcare
  • Flexible hours
  • Working remotely

Why it matters to us

We know that when employees feel supported at home, they show up stronger for our customers and for each other. That belief drives the way we design our benefits. Our comprehensive package is built around the real needs of working families and includes:

  • Paid time off and flexible return-to-work schedules for new parents
  • Family leave to care for immediate family members
  • Fertility benefits
  • Adoption assistance to help with costs and transportation
  • An employee and family assistance program offering counseling and additional support

Looking ahead

We value the trust our employees place in us to show up for them. As we look to the future, we remain committed to fostering a workplace where families come first and employees are able to maintain work-life harmony so we’re better equipped to support our customers and the communities that rely on us.
