One year later: Honoring Camp CAMP's recovery
Texas is only as strong as the communities within it. That's why, one year ago, Texas Mutual stood behind Camp CAMP (Children's Association for Maximum Potential) during their recovery from the catastrophic Fourth of July flooding. Every camper, family and staff member deserved to see Camp CAMP back and better than ever, and we were proud to play a role in their reopening.
Flood response
In July 2025, catastrophic flooding tore through the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas, devastating families and organizations across the region. While camp was not in session when the floods occurred, Camp CAMP's properties and facilities were among those hit hard.
Texas Mutual responded quickly, contributing to a total of $430,000 in flood relief donations to support affected organizations and policyholders, including Camp CAMP. Our investment helped them get back to what matters most — welcoming campers.

About Camp CAMP
More than 47 years ago, a pediatrician's young patient had a dream to ride a horse, just like John Wayne. That dream sparked something much bigger when that pediatrician joined others to found Camp CAMP as a place where individuals with complex medical needs or disabilities could grow, belong and create memories that last a lifetime.
Through summer camp and monthly school year programs, Camp CAMP gives campers a space where they feel supported, safe and free to experience things they might never get to otherwise.
Texas Mutual has been proud to serve as Camp CAMP's workers' compensation partner for more than two decades, helping protect the dedicated staff and volunteer counselors who make that mission possible every single day.
